In the semifinals of the RVAL tournament, Dublin was matched up once again with the Eagle Hill School. This was the third game of the season played between the two teams, with the series tied at one game apiece. This time, however, Dublin was playing without its senior co-captain and leading scorer Hunter Bachman, who had suffered a high ankle sprain early in the White Oak game the day before.
The Wildcats had trouble mustering any offense without him, and were held to a season-low 36 points. Solid defensive performances were turned in by a number of Wildcats, including Jordan Ferreras '16, who took two charges in the effort. A three-pointer by Seb McLinden cut the deficit to 7 points with seven minutes left in the game, but Dublin would get no closer, falling by a final score of 51-36. For the second straight day, Idriss Traore '19 led the team in scoring with 9 points, followed by Seb McLinden '16 with 8.
Dublin (7-8, 6-1 RVAL) will travel to Brewster Academy for a game on Saturday afternoon.
