Hurricane Lessons

When I left my house earlier this morning to survey any possible damage caused by Hurricane Irene (minimal effects so far) I saw that the head of our Buildings and Grounds staff was way ahead of me. We are lucky to have the very best B and G staff in the country, not just because they create and maintain such a beautiful campus, but because they are great educators and role models for both the students and faculty at our school. It is no wonder that so many of our students gravitate towards these individuals and want to spend time with them.

They are not easily fazed by ice storms, hurricanes, and blizzards. The calm professionalism with which they react to these challenges serves as a great model for all of us.
