Academic Accomodations
Dublin School provides accommodations and modifications to students with documented needs, providing that the implementation does not have a significant negative impact upon the curriculum. This is typically determined during the Dublin School admission process on a case by case basis. Documentation generally includes a current neuropsychological or psychoeducational evaluation report, which states the recommendation for any suggested accommodation or modification along with the supporting diagnosis.
The following is a list of the more frequently offered accommodations at Dublin School:
- Extra time for testing and/or in-class writing or reading
- Peer class notes
- Preferential seating
- Small group setting for standardized testing
- Some students may use assistive technology such as word processors, audio books or audio readers, speech recognition software, graphic organizer software (such as Inspiration), or a Smart Pen for note-taking
